Andrew B. Barton joined Henness & Haight in March 2016, primarily working on the litigation team. Originally from Idaho, Andrew came to Las Vegas upon completing law school and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants during his time in Nevada. Andrew grew up in Rexburg, Idaho, where he attended both high school and Brigham Young University – Idaho. He received a bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in professional writing before attending the University of Idaho School of Law. While in law school, Andrew was appointed as the Lead Technical Editor of the Idaho Law Review where he was able to participate in writing and editing peer-reviewed articles discussing numerous legal issues and theories. Additionally, Andrew was the winner of the 2010 McNichols Moot Court Oral Argument Competition held at the University of Idaho.
Andrew received his J.D. from the University of Idaho in 2012 and was later admitted to the Nevada State Bar in October 2012. He is currently admitted to practice law before all Nevada state and federal courts. Upon his admission to the Nevada State Bar, Andrew began working at a multi-state law firm representing large land developers and homebuilders. He gained valuable experience in understanding both the complexities of litigation as well as the changing needs of the clients he represented.
Andrew’s desire to help individuals eventually led him to change his focus to personal injury work. He now uses the fundamental negotiation skills and techniques he learned while practicing construction defense in representing injured clients.
When he is not working, Andrew enjoys sports, video games, reading and traveling with his family.
