Henness & Haight is proud to announce that four of our Las Vegas personal injury attorneys have been included in the 2017 Legal Elite list of Nevada’s top attorneys.
Our firm’s founders Mark Henness and Michael Haight, as well as associate Jacob Smith, were included among Legal Elite’s list of top attorneys in Southern Nevada. Andrew Barton, another member of our legal staff, was included in Legal Elite’s list of Best Up and Coming attorneys in Nevada.
This year marks the 10th year that Legal Elite has released its list of the most prominent and highly rated attorneys in Nevada. The annual list highlights attorneys who have been named the best in the state by their peers.
Approximately 6,400 candidates were considered for this year’s list that included attorneys throughout the state that practiced in all areas of law.
Those who were nominated went through a broad verification process to choose the top attorneys in Nevada.
The Legal Elite list includes the top four percent of attorneys in Nevada, which are categorized by his or her region in Nevada. It also includes a section dedicated to the Best Up and Coming and Best Government attorneys.
Each candidate nominated to the 2017 Legal Elite list was reviewed for his or her eligibility and verified by the State Bar of Nevada.
The candidates were then scored based on the number and types of votes they received. An attorney who gained a vote from his or her own firm was awarded a score of one. Those who received a vote from an attorney at an outside firm received a score of three.
Once the voting process concluded, the top scorers were then verified for the finalized 2017 Legal Elite list.
