Kristie Mastrangioli is the current Office Manager for Henness & Haight.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Kristie has now been living in Las Vegas for more than 27 years. After studying Marketing and Communications at UNLV, Kristie began her career in marketing and real estate. Following her desire to pursue a career in philanthropic service, she eventually moved on to serve as the Executive Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Nevada, a nonprofit organization that helps to raise awareness and fund research, treatment, and other health care services for local families living with neuromuscular diseases.

Following her years with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Kristie began working for the firm of Henness & Haight.

“I always found law interesting, and the chance to work for such a prestigious law firm in Las Vegas was an excellent opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” Kristie noted.

“This way my first foray into the legal field,” Kristie recounted. “I’d run an office before, but this field was new to me. When I first began working here, I was surprised by the depth of personal injury claims and the whole legal process. It was all so interesting to me, and it still is. The legal community has grown so much out here, and I’m a lot more aware of events in the community here now.”

Kristie embraced her newfound interest in the legal field, and she quickly discovered that her current position was not so different from her last.

“I feel that when I was working for the nonprofit organization, I was helping people that didn’t have a voice,” Kristie said. “Here, it’s the same sort of thing; we’re helping people out when they’re vulnerable when they need us most.”

At the firm, Kristie’s tasks vary widely from day to day, but her responsibilities typically include handling Human Resources, corresponding with new clients, maintaining workplace policies and procedures, banking, managing checks, assisting with technical difficulties, and generally making sure that everything in the office runs smoothly.

“Kristie wears a lot of different hats as our Office Manager, and she is very good at everything she does,” founding partner Michael Haight noted. “She leads by example in that she puts her heart and soul into her work. We are truly blessed to have someone with Kristie’s talent, skill, dedication, and great attitude captaining our team.”

“I’m very organized, so I’m able to stay on top of everything,” Kristie noted. “For my job, I have to be very open-minded and flexible. But for me, no job is too big or too small; I’m a doer. I’m always ready to help wherever I’m needed in the office, and I also like to help keep a fun environment.”

When she’s not managing the day-to-day operations of the firm, most of Kristie’s time is devoted to raising her three daughters. In her free time, Kristie enjoys reading and working out. In particular, she loves to run. So far, she’s completed a whopping nine marathons.

As of the start of this August, Kristie has been with the firm for one year, and she plans to stay.

“I love the culture of Henness & Haight,” Kristie said. “I have to credit it to the number of team members that have been with us for so long. The vast majority of our support team has been with us for well beyond 5 years. In fact, 7 have been with the firm for more than 10 years. This is a great environment where people want to stay because Mike and Mark treat their employees so well. No one wants to leave!”
