Alicia Lay was born in California and has called Las Vegas home since 2007. She brings nearly two decades of professional experience from the luxury beauty industry, where she worked as an educator, trainer, and makeup artist. In that role, Alicia developed and led training programs, managed teams, and built a reputation for clear communication and attention to detail – skills that now directly support her work in the legal field.
After achieving success in the beauty industry, Alicia made the intentional decision to pursue a long-held goal of becoming an attorney. She returned to school and earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Professional Writing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating summa cum laude in 2022.
Alicia is currently a student at the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she has been named to the Dean’s Honor List and received a CALI Award for achieving the highest grade in Bioethics and Law. During her time in law school, Alicia has served as a law clerk at Henness & Haight, where she has gained hands-on experience in personal injury litigation and developed a strong interest in client advocacy. Alicia has been offered, and has accepted, a position as a Litigation Attorney at Henness & Haight following her anticipated Spring 2026 graduation and successful passing of the Nevada Bar Examination.
Alicia’s path to the legal profession reflects her commitment to meaningful, client-centered work. Alicia looks forward to continuing her work with Henness & Haight and serving clients in the Las Vegas community with diligence, empathy, and care.
Outside of the office, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, caring for her cats, tending to her rose garden, and listening to The Beatles.
