Mr. Haight was born in Tupper Lake, New York, but has been a Las Vegas resident since 1976. He graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas, NV in 1984.

Mr. Haight attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah on an athletic scholarship, but later transferred to University Nevada, Reno, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989.

Mr. Haight received his Juris Docturate from Willamette University College of Law in 1995, and that fall he joined his father, Donald Haight (licensed to practice law in Nevada since 1976) and his sister, Jennifer Rusley, as members of the Nevada Bar.

Immediately after law school, Mr. Haight immersed himself in trial work. As a defense attorney he originally defended drivers who caused accidents, and he thus gained valuable experience and insight into how insurance companies work. In 1998, however, he made the decision to dedicate his career to representing injured victims. Since then, he has exclusively represented “the little guy,” and he now handles only personal injury claims.

Mike Haight is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the nation’s most prestigious trial lawyer groups.  Established in 1993, the organization recognizes the skills, experience and accomplishments of trial lawyers who have won large, complex cases.

Mr. Haight is a member of the Clark County and Nevada Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in all Nevada courts, in the 9th Federal District Court, and before the United States Supreme Court.

He is a Governor of the Nevada Justice Association (to which he has belonged since 1996), and he has been a member of the American Justice Association since 2001.

Mr. Haight is married and lives with his wife and 2 children in Northwest Las Vegas. His ambition is to live each day to the fullest and to continue striving to achieve swift justice for all of his clients.
