John C. Funk

John C. Funk joined Henness & Haight as a litigation attorney in July, 2011.  Mr. Funk grew up in rural Utah.  In 1995, he graduated with highest honors receiving his associates degree from the College of Eastern Utah.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Utah University where he graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Political Science and Psychology in 1997.  Mr. Funk worked several years in the mental health profession prior to law school.

In 2002, he graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas.  Mr. Funk moved to Las Vegas where he became a law clerk for a personal injury attorney with an emphasis in brain and spinal cord injuries.  He began his trial practice in the areas of personal injury, brain injury litigation, wrongful death, civil rights, and medical malpractice prior to joining Henness and Haight in 2011.  Mr. Funk has successfully written and argued at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the Nevada Supreme Court. 

Mr. Funk is dedicated to assisting injured victims.  He handles personal injury claims from automobile, DUI, trucking, motorcycle injuries, as well as slip and fall cases.   He is admitted to practice in the Federal Districts of Nevada and the Ninth Circuit.  He is also admitted to practice pro hac vice in the Northern District of California and the Eastern District of New York.  Mr. Funk is a member of the Nevada and Clark County Bar Associations, the Nevada Justice Association, and the American Justice Association.
